Christmas is in full swing and we couldn’t be more thrilled! The cozy-ness of the season is always a welcome transition around here. Lately we’ve been noticing a lot of neutral holiday decor and have to say: we’re on board. It’s nice having options that don’t clash with what colors you already have in your space. For example: white wrapping paper, wreaths with neutral bows, gold, white and touches of evergreen branches. It gives Christmas decor so much more flexibility and allows the items you buy to be re-used for other occasions. Plus, these neutrals are classic and won’t ever go out of style.
We’ve had so much fun mixing our new Portland Collection with holiday decor. Textures and wrapping mixed with florals…it doesn’t get much better : )
We’re so excited for the holiday season because it gives us an excuse to use gold everywhere. It’s the perfect neutral to compliment all seasonal tones and of course – the green tree and garland. There’s something so magical about the shine of gold at Christmas time. What gold pieces will you be using this holiday season?

Presenting: the very first video in our ‘Design in Motion’ series! This one features peeks into each room of the Street of Dreams home in Arizona. The home was built by E&A Custom Homes and furniture provided by Elsie Rose Home. It was such a treat to work on this home and I’m so excited to share it with you.
A huge thanks to Jenner Brown for capturing every detail perfectly. Push play!
One of my most recent projects is finally ready for the big reveal! Having a client and friend like Leigh Anne is such a treat. She has such a bright, cheerful personality and always makes my day better… that might have to do with the fact that she’s always bringing me treats from her food posts that she does on her fabulous blog Your Home Based Mom. Make sure to check out her blog for amazing recipes, cute crafts, and parties!
Leigh Anne is such a fun client because she’s up for anything! She really was my inspiration for the space – bright, colorful, fresh, traditional with a hint of whimsical. We started by pulling all the fabrics together and then freshening it up with a clean coat of white paint! As soon as we lightened it up… we couldn’t stop. We replaced the fireplace surround with gorgeous calcutta gold marble, pulled in some beautiful new upholstered pieces from my furniture line, custom designed her rug, and even painted the piano! Needless to say, it was an exciting transformation and I just loved seeing Leigh Anne find new excitement in her home that she’s lived in for over 20 years! Head over to SMP Living for sources and more images of the space!
Spotted in this darling teen room is Berry Fleur Chinoise! Styled by Claire Brody – we love the fresh palette with lots of play on color. Head over here for more images of the space. Thanks for sharing Claire!
